BBL Man Takes Over at ICT

The new chief executive of Inverness Caley Thistle is Mike Smith a chartered accountant who spent fourteen years at the UK professional basketball league as chief executive. He has had previous involvement in football as the manager of Aston Villa’s leisure complex, a facility that he helped to set up.
Mike has been quoted as saying “I've been very impressed by what the club has achieved this year and I hope my background will enable me to work with the directors and staff to drive Caley Thistle further forward, my priority will be the business side of things. The success of this club in its first SPL season, coupled with the stadium enhancement, offers me a very sound basis on which to tackle the job."
Mike, who moved to Inverness last year, when his wife, Jackie Cuddy, became the manager of the Eastgate Centre, will take up his post as Caley Thistle’s first chief executive a week today.

We would like to congratulate the board of ICT for appointing such an experienced Chief Executive and we wish him well as he takes up his new post.
