CALEY JAGS gaffer Terry Butcher is eager to have Adam Rooney's future resolved.The striker, who has scored 14 times this season, has been linked with a move to Kuban Krasnodar.
And Butcher said after the 0-0 draw at Motherwell: "The Russian club has made a bid, we've had turned it down, we're waiting to hear a response from them.
"There's other clubs interested in Adam, who haven't made official bids yet but we've had calls."
The Inverness boss knows fans are eager to know whether the club's top scorer is to remain in the Highlands.
"I'd like to know as well, I think Adam would like to know," said Butcher.
"As usual the transfer window doesn't really get going, the market doesn't really start to hot up until the last 10 days towards the end of the month.
"It's horrific. Poor Stuart McCall for Motherwell lost Mark Reynolds, he's lost two or three players and has not been able to replace them so he's limited in his squad and his choices.
"We hope that we won't be in that case if it does happen too late in the window for us to get replacements. We've got to be a little bit cute but we'll see what happens.
"We've got Rangers on Tuesday, Hamilton on Saturday, Aberdeen the following week as well. We've got a lot of games between now and the end of the window so hopefully we'll have everybody available.
"If not, hopefully we can get one or two new faces in."
Of the draw with Motherwell, Butcher was happy to take a point on a wet Saturday afternoon at Fir Park, taking fifth-place Caley's tally to 28.
"The conditions certainly helped the ebb and flow of the game because there were a lot of mistakes," added the former Well manager.
Butcher watched his side take a point on his old stomping ground"I thought the game was a good game, it was a well-contested game. Both sets of players tried to get the ball down and pass it under difficult conditions.
"It's well over a year since we last had a 0-0 so we're not used to that. We didn't know what to do when we came in after the game. I didn't know whether I was going to be mad or I was going to be happy.
"But I'm delighted because, at the end of the day, we've had a difficult run of games and we've come through them. It's another clean sheet, it's another point.
"I don't see 30 (points) as being safe but 30's a target that we'd tried to get to a good few games ago but haven't managed to do that but we're getting there.
"Ryan Esson's had a lot less work to do than Randolph in goal for Motherwell, who I thought was excellent. He made some good saves.
"We've had the best chance of the game from Richie Foran, whose put his chance wide.
"I'm really pleased with my lads. It's a 0-0 game. People will say that's boring but it certainly wasn't today."
