Doran Due To Return

Doran, who is 21, joined the club on loan from Blackburn Rovers on January 25 this year has made 16 starting appearances (and a further 6 sub appearances), scoring three goals and becoming a fan's favourite with his exciting play.

Terry Butcher signed him on a permanent basis on July 13 but after only one game Doran had damaged his shoulder and an operation was arranged.

"Aaron is doing light training and is coming on nicely with his passing of the ball", said Butcher. "We won't be rushing him but we're now pleased with his progress. It's been a frustrating time for the lad but he's now firmly on the way back."

The Republic of Ireland under-21 cap - a Dubliner like Richie Foran and Johnny Hayes - joined Blackburn Rovers in 2008 and made three first team appearances. He spent a month on loan at MK Dons and then Leyton Orient.

His first start for Caley Jags saw him showcase his talents by laying on two goals in a 5-1 Scottish Cup win over Morton at Inverness.

Doran is delighted that his shoulder has healed and is working on his fitness to get him back within sight of what would be his first match action in months.
