Gil Blow For Caley Jags

THE CALEY JAGS have been hit by another injury blow with forward Gil Blumenshtein out injured for over a month.

The 20-year-old injured his calf after coming on as a substitute in Saturday's 1-0 defeat to Celtic.

Israeli front man Blumenshtein faces up to five weeks on the sidelines, meaning ICT are short on the left-hand-side of the pitch with fellow forward Richie Foran ruled out for a similar length of time.

Foran is undergoing surgery to clear up a knee problem and is not expected to be available until the start of September at least, meaning Butch will have to shuffle the pack for the next few games.

Caley Jags boss Terry Butcher told the Inverness Courier: "Gil has torn some fibres in his calf. He is likely to be out for between four or five weeks with that injury.

"We'll now need to have a look and see what needs to be done.

"Nick Ross made his Scottish Premier League debut on the left wing on Saturday so he should benefit from that, while there are other options within the squad who could play there - although that may mean moving players around."
