New Deals For Teen Duo

CALEY JAGS teenagers Nick Ross and Graeme Shinnie have both been offered new contracts.

Manager Terry Butcher expects both 19-year-olds - products of the club's youth development system - to sign in the coming days.

"They fully deserve the offer of new extended contracts," Butcher told his club's website.

"And, after discussions with their parents, I am very optimistic both will put pen to paper."

Midfielder Ross has now made 27 appearances for Caley Thistle, 17 of them this season, and broke into the Scotland Under-21 squad.

Defender Shinnie has turned out for the first team 15 times, 12 coming this term.

Now, having helped Inverness to fourth place on their return to the Scottish Premier League, the teenage duo have been offered full professional contracts.

"I've asked a lot of both youngsters, but they have shown excellent talent, attitude and confidence at SPL level," said Butcher.

"It's gratifying to see young players progress this way and Nick and Graeme have very bright futures if they continue to apply themselves as they have been doing."
