Inverness Caley Thistle defeated city neighbours Clach at Grant Street Park last night to advance into the semi-finals of the North of Scotland Cup.
Caley Jags’ Graeme Shinnie opened the scoring in the 35th minute. Clach levelled three minutes after the restart though as Neil MacDonald but two quick goals from Johnny Hayes put ICT back in control.
hane Sutherland further increased the visitors’ lead 20 minutes from time. Stuart Leslie pulled one back for the hosts (82). In injury time, Leslie was fouled in the box by Caley Thistle sub Andrew MacAskill. Michael Finnis stepped scored for Clach from the spot.
